Welcome to A.M Sports! Our mission is to inspire young people to engage in sports while developing confidence, self-esteem, friendships and new skills. We offer a range of exciting services, including Holiday Clubs, Birthday Parties and Mentoring Schemes. We believe that all young people should have the opportunity to be involved in sports, therefore, all our services are designed to ensure a fun, inclusive and enriching experience for all.

ABOUT ME

Hi, My name is Ash, the owner of A.M Sports. I have worked in education for around 14 years and am currently Head of KS3 in a Leicestershire secondary school. I am also the coach for two football teams and the Welfare Officer for Dunton and Broughton Football Club.

I launched A.M Sports in 2022 to provide inclusive holiday care for young people. I have a child with both ADHD and Autism. As parents, we found it challenging to source out of school clubs and holiday care for him. We wanted a space where he could play sport, express himself and be sociable within a safe environment. This inspired me to set up my own. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have a fabulous community of staff and young people.

MEET THE COACHES

We aim to create a sense of family and community at A.M Sports, therefore will have the same faces at all our holiday clubs and events.

ASH

Coach/Founder/DSL

Ash has worked with young people since he was 18. After having various teaching and non teaching roles within educational settings. He is now head of KS3 at a Leicestershire Secondary School.

Ash has previously worked for the charity, Safeline. During this time, Ash specialised in working with young people who have been victims of abuse and those who are at risk. Often using sport as a therapeutic intervention.

Ash holds a variety of roles at Dunton and Broughton Football Club , including: Coach of two teams, Welfare Officer and Head of Football Development.

SARAH

Coach/Early Years Specialist

Sarah is our Early Years Specialist. As Ash's wife, A.M Sports was something that Sarah encouraged Ash to do for several years.

Sarah is a Room Leader at a nursery in Lutterworth and has a wealth of experience working with children ages 6 months - starting school.

Sarah has worked with children with a range of additional needs and is an asset to the team when trying to encourage and communicate with some of our younger participants.

DAVE

Coach/Mentor

Dave has worked with young people in many different settings such as schools, charities and was an 'inspires coach' for LCFC, working with some of the counties most vulnerable young people.

Dave has been a Pastoral Manager for British Youth Musical Theatre, leading a residential project with up to 50 young people ages 11-18.

Dave has been a coach for A.M Sports from the start and creates excellent sessions that suit all participants.
